Just a heads up to Milton residents that Milton Academy and its Campus Safety team will be conducting a full-scale lockdown drill on Tuesday, October 13 at approximately 9:20 AM.

As part of the exercise, the external speakers will be activated twice. The first activation will include a tone followed by a lockdown message.

Residents and those in the area may hear these announcements and may also notice an increased police presence or other activity around the campus.

This is a planned exercise being conducted by Milton Academy and its Campus Safety team. We are sharing this information in advance so residents are aware and there is no unnecessary concern if they hear the announcements or see activity in the area.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We honor the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the countless people whose courage and sacrifice helped carry our nation through an unimaginable day.

We will always remember. 🇺🇸

With school back in session, we're asking everyone to take a little extra time and use caution around town. Please slow down in the school zones, watch for children at bus stops, stop for school buses, and pay attention to our crossing guards.

We want to also take a moment to give a big Thank You! to Milton's crossing guards for being out there every day and helping our students get to and from school safely.

Let's all do our part to keep our kids safe this school year!
