Attention High School students!

As part of your Winter Week, the Lit Club, a collaboration between the Milton Public Library and the LMC, is hosting a movie night tomorrow starting at 4:00 p.m. at the high school library.

We'll be showing The Book Thief. Popcorn and water will also be provided.

Some come join us before we get more snow!

First volume of The Iris!

We are SO EXCITED to show you the first volume of The Iris, the teen literary magazine for teen, by teens, and featuring the original works of teens. You can read the magazine by following this link: http://als.lib.wi.us/MPL/IRIS/IRIS_VOLUME_1.pdf.

Our editorial board has been working hard the last few months to put this together. We received a good amount of submissions from talented local teens, but we are certainly hoping for more for upcoming issues. If you would like to submit, please email [email protected]

As this magazine grows and becomes more popular, the library hopes to be able to offer physical copies.

Please enjoy the photographs, stories, poems, and illustrations in this edition! And please share!

It's that time of the month again for two regularly-scheduled teen programs!

Afterhours @ the Library: Friday, January 5, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Please note the time change! Hang out with other teens and play board games, computer games, and maybe even some video games. Sometimes a game of hide-and-go-seek happens.

YouPaint: Saturday, January 6, starting at 1:00 p.m. We'll be drinking hot chocolate to go along with the foggy picture. Call the library at 868-7462 to register!

Two upcoming programs!

So much going on at the library!

Tomorrow! Wired Afterhours from 5:30-7:30 for teens 12 to 18. Come hang out and play video games, board games, and computer games. Ever play Drawful? It's a favorite of the teens. Quite hilarious.

And on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., we have our next YouPaint class for teens 12 to 18. Paint the fun picture shown below (from the YouTube channel Painting with Jane) and enjoy a moon-themed drink. Space is limited and registration is required. Please send a message or call us at 868-7462 to register.
