Congratulations to our August 2026 Employee of the Month, Pat Wetterlind.

Pat is a Maintenance III level Public Works employee. We are hiring for the position of Journeyman Lineman Lead.

This position is responsible for a variety of routine and complex administrative, skilled, technical work in operating, maintaining and repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. This position is a working foreman responsible for providing field supervision over the crew on the jobsite and overseeing use of equipment and materials.

The City of Milton is looking for an enthusiastic, community-oriented individual to join the Events Committee!

Serving on the Events Committee allows you to take an active role in planning beloved local events like Milton Days and the Craft Bazaar, plus bringing back the Holiday Tree Lighting event. The committee consists of seven residents who serve four-year terms. To help you get acquainted, we encourage all applicants to attend a meeting before applying. Events Committee meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

If you are a Milton resident, passionate about your community, and want to make a difference, we encourage you to apply!

Pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation, Mayor Bruce White has authorized the lowering of Washington State and United States flags at the direction of Governor Bob Ferguson at all state agency facilities in honor and remembrance of Dolly Parton.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Other government entities, individuals, and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
