Tonight, at our annual Christmas Supper, we were presented with a department helmet by Billys Custom Fire Helmets. This helmet displays both of our stations, our entire fleet of trucks, and our station patch. Thank you sir for this beautiful piece to be displayed at our station.

Yesterday, we dropped off a truck load of surplus gear and equipment to Midway Volunteer Fire Dept. They are graciously donating a completely outfited fire engine to Elk Mills Poga Volunteer FD. They lost their entire station, and there are photos of one of the tankers being swept down the river from the flooding. To put it into perspective, a new fire engine is roughly $400k+, a new tanker is $250k, air packs are around $10k each, and turnout gear is around $5k a set. And if that's not enough, the current wait time in a new fire truck is 18-24 months. We hope what we were able to send will be able to help them until they are able to get their equipment replaced.

Our crew made it to Asheville safely.
There assignment has been to shuttle water for Asheville FD in the event of a structure fire. As there hydrants are not functional. If you would continue to keep all the personnel deployed and the citizen's affected in your thoughts and prayers as they try to get back to some form of normal.
