Every day is dog day around here, but today we get to celebrate it out loud.

National Dog Day means every dog counts, the goofy ones, the couch potatoes, and the dogs still waiting on a family to find them.

Give your dog an extra treat, an extra walk, or an extra minute of belly rubs today. They've earned it, probably.

On behalf of our customers, I presented a $1000.00 check along with several bags of dog and cat food to Courtney Proctor Cross, the Director of the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter. It was a successful fundraiser for the shelter! Thank you to everyone that contributed. 🐶🐱🙏🏻

Vendor registration for the upcoming event is now available online at cityofmiltonwv.com. Application forms can be obtained at City Hall or the Misty Rose Rec Center during business hours 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. A $25.00 booth fee is required, with a deadline of October 10th, 2026.

Space has been made this summer by caring adopters and fosters, but there are
still so many waiting in kennels. Now is the perfect time to open your heart and
