Milton Volunteer Fire Department MVFD has provided the City of Milton and surrounding areas with fire and rescue protection as a 100% volunteer based agency since 1949.

Please join us for a FREE safe trunk or treat event on October 28th from 6-7:30pm! We will have a host of fire trucks and other first responder vehicles set up around the fire department for kids to trick or treat at! Station tours and other fun activities will be available and FREE to the public!

Update: the road way is now back open. Proceed with caution through the area for lingering debris.

Rt. 60 is closed both directions in the area of Yates Crossing Road and Forest Memorial Gardens for a large tree across the roadway. Utility companies and DOH are on scene. Please avoid the area.

Thank you to Corey Carr with Mid-Atlantic Rescue Systems for coming down and providing our members with an in-service training on our brand new Apex Res-Q-Jack stabilization system! This system replaces our current set-up with new equipment that is lighter in weight, easily adjusted without the risk of losing pins, and made for rapid deployment! Corey also provided training for our members on our new Holmatro lifting bag system!

This system was made possible for us by The Chaney Family Foundation and Putnam County Bank!

We have lots of positive things happening around Milton Fire that we cannot wait to share with you! Stay tuned!

MVFD had the pleasure of spending part of the afternoon with the campers at Camp Rocky Ledges! Each Girl Scout troop got plenty of time to check out the fire engine, ask all of the questions they could think of, and even try on a fire coat!

We are thankful for the opportunities our local community gives us to be apart of! Stay safe campers!

At 11:24 hours MVFD received a structure fire alarm for the Marcos Pizza and Polos Ice Cream building. Upon arrival, units discovered heavy smoke inside of the building. A ladder was thrown to the roof where crew 1 discovered a burnt up fan motor in the HVAC unit. Power was disconnected from the unit, the building was ventilated, and all units returned to service.

Thank you to all responding agencies for their assistance and to Milton PD for blocking traffic during the incident!
