✨ Department Spotlight ✨

Our Civil Department has undergone an impressive transformation over the past couple of years. In late 2024, two separate divisions merged into one unified team of 17 members.

This department supports a variety of case types and essential court functions. Their responsibilities include Circuit Civil, County Civil, and Small Claims cases, as well as all Domestic Relations cases, including injunctions for protection. And if that wasn’t enough, they also handle Jury Services and Evidence processing…all within a single dynamic unit.

The Civil Department’s continued commitment to teamwork, service, and adaptability shines through in every customer interaction and each case they touch. Their contributions are invaluable, and their dedication serves our community in a truly meaningful way. We couldn’t be prouder of this extraordinary team.

From the Archives 📜

These pages from our historic deed books showcase Federal Land Patents issued to local Santa Rosa County pioneers.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that these federal titles were brought to the Santa Rosa County Courthouse in July 1907 to be officially entered into the county record by then-Clerk of Court L. P. Golson.

While our record-keeping methods have evolved from pen and ink to secure digital archives, our commitment is timeless: protecting your legal records and preserving the heritage of Santa Rosa County.
