The Milton Police Department is committed to professional excellence, community engagement, and public safety, and I could not be prouder of the dedication shown by our officers, dispatchers, and professional staff over the last two months.

During the months of March and April, department personnel completed more than 200 hours of specialized training in areas including field training, general instructor certification, TASER deployment and criminal patrol investigations. Officers also participated in a DUI enforcement wet lab training where they conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on volunteers who consumed predetermined amounts of alcohol at preset BAC levels, helping officers keep their impaired driver detection skills sharp and effective.

Community engagement remained a major focus throughout both months. Members of MPD participated in the “Walk in Her Shoes” event to raise money and awareness for the Santa Rosa Kids’ House, while officers proudly represented the department during the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics. Additionally, several MPD officers were recognized at the MADD DUI Awards Ceremony for their outstanding efforts in impaired driving enforcement.

Over the last two months, MPD responded to nearly 4,000 calls for service, investigated more than 60 motor vehicle crashes, and made nearly 70 arrests while continuing to proactively serve and protect the City of Milton.

I remain incredibly grateful for the hard work, professionalism, and commitment our officers, dispatchers, and staff demonstrate every day to help keep our community safe.

During National Police Week, the Milton Police Department was honored to have Chief Jen Frank speak in Washington, D.C. today on behalf of law enforcement officers across the State of Florida at the invitation of Senator Ashley Moody. 🇺🇸

Chief Frank spoke about the sacrifices carried by law enforcement officers and their families, the importance of leadership in public safety, and the shared commitment officers across this nation carry each day in service to their communities.

We are incredibly proud to see Milton represented during this important week of remembrance and honor.
