On October 22, 2025, your Curry College Public Safety Officer and Special State Police Officers were pinned and sworn in. Over the past year, this department has been transforming into a department that puts Curry College Students, Faculty, and Staff at the forefront of our mission.

Pinning of the badge is a long-standing tradition in policing that reinforces pride, unity, and respect for the profession’s heritage. The act of “pinning” the badge onto the officer’s uniform symbolizes their official acceptance of the duties, responsibilities, and ethical standards of law enforcement.

Taking the Oath of Office or "swearing in" means pledging loyalty to the Constitution, service to the community, and integrity in every action — the foundation of what it means to be a peace officer. The oath of office emphasizes integrity, service, and dedication to the law.

COLONELS WIN!!! Several records were broken in Saturday’s 71-27 win over Nichols College. The Colonels 71 points bested a previous record (65) for points in a single-game. This was largely in part due to Senior RB Montie Quinn who posted 522 yards rushing, and 7 rushing TDs. In addition to breaking the school record for TDs in a game, Quinn is now in possession of the most rushing yards in a single-game in NCAA history with 522!

What a day yesterday, Curry CJ students and Nursing students participated in a joint hands-on interactive scenarios. This allowed our students to be able to get some real life experience with motor vehicle accidents, mental health, and domestic violence. Student were allowed to put their classroom knowledge into practice. Great job by Nursing, CJ, and the State Police.

The pictures are of the mock motor vehicle accident, and nurses had to assess the scene and render aid as needed.

On September 11, 2001, twenty-four years ago today, before most were even born, a horrific terrorist attack struck the heart of New York City. At 8:46 am, a plane hit the North tower, and at 9:03 a second plane hit the South tower. 477 first responders lost their lives, many others died of illness related to the attack years later. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives that day.

If you can take a moment of silence at 8:46 and 9:03 to remember the lives lost.

Winding down on the food truck festivities. Hope everyone who showed up had a great time.
