March is Self-Harm Awareness Month. 💛 As spring break approaches, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reminds us that self-harm among young people ages 10-19 typically rises after school breaks and during the final weeks of the school year. It’s important to recognize the signs, start open conversations, and provide supportive, nurturing environments for our youth.

Together, we can help prevent self-harm and equip young people with healthy coping skills. If you notice signs like emotional withdrawal, unexplained cuts, or keeping arms and legs covered, don’t hesitate to reach out for support. Remember, the conversations we have today can make a difference in their mental health tomorrow.
