Don’t drink and drive: Coast Guard encourages sober boating for July 4th weekend

Independence day is celebrated every year to remember the freedoms and ideals of the United States and its long history of upholding them.

Just be sure to celebrate it responsibly while on the water! Boating while under the influence endangers not only you and your family, but the lives of everyone else on the water and the lives of emergency services should you need rescuing!

So boat sober and wear your life jackets to make this the safest Independence Day in history!
