Last week, we celebrated five years of them helping us load up trucks and deliver backpacks to schools and organization in Milwaukee and Waukesha.

United is the Way that we are working together to support local students succeed.

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, representatives from The Milwaukee Building and Construction Trades Council celebrated their fifth year of loading trucks and delivering backpacks to Milwaukee and Waukesha locations. The deliveries are part of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County's annual Backpack Coalition, helping ensure local students begin the school year equipped with the essential school supplies they need to succeed.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our community and award winners at Prairie Springs on Park for the 19th Annual Philanthropic 5 Awards!

Congratulations to our 2026 winners, Marco Briceno, Mallory Deutch, Kat Klawes, Angela Quigley, Ricardo D. Wynn, and Madeline Peelen. We appreciate all the outstanding ways that you support our community.

Money was also raised during the evening for our upcoming event, Project Homeless Connect.
