This past Saturday, our MPD public safety cadets attended the Appleton PD cadet competition. They participated in multiple different scenarios including: MILO, traffic stop, active incident, suspicious incident, welfare check, physical fitness test, law test, and search warrant.

At the conclusion of the event, our cadets were able to come home with a 1st place in MILO and 3rd place in Suspicious Incident.

Congratulations cadets!

Keep up the good work

Cadet Family day was a success!

Today we had our annual cadet family day where the cadet’s parents are invited to come and watch their son or daughter participate in some hands on scenarios. The parents got to meet all the cadet mentors and we also say goodbye to many cadets who will become Police Aides in the next few weeks. Some cadets moved up in rank as well.

We wish all the new upcoming Police Aides good luck in their new chapters. We are very proud of you all and know you will be outstanding future leaders!

Congratulations to the following cadets and mentor for achieving the following:

Rookie Cadet of the year: Andrea Belmontes

Cadet of the year: Aylanni Mejia

Mentor of the year: Officer Rob Lawrence

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!
