The Community Advocates Public Policy Institute is dedicated to preventing and reducing poverty while fostering wellness for individuals and families. Our current programs include Pathways to Ending Poverty, Transitional Jobs, the Effective ACA Implementation Project, the City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance, Milwaukee County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (a county-wide AODA prevention initiative), Milwaukee Brighter Futures Initiative, Minority Male Achievement, and Conversations with Policy Leaders..

After more than a year of work to create a nationwide three-digit #suicideprevention crisis hotline, Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s bipartisan bill was signed into law on Saturday.
