Day 2: Superintendent Darienne Driver, Ed.D.
October 1st, 2014— Dr. Darienne Driver was unanimously appointed the position to lead Milwaukee Public Schools as the FIRST African American female, Superintendent of Schools! Dr. Driver is a high-energy visionary who has initiated a series of bold reform measures designed to improve student outcomes through deeper engagement with community organizations, parents, students and staff, and by increasing opportunities for staff development and support.
Driver is truly an inspiration to me and one of my favorite people in the entire world. Literally everyone close to me knows that.
Not too many individuals can say that they’re close to the Superintendent of Schools, so I really value Dr. Driver and the person she is.
Continue to do the things you do for the students of Milwaukee Public Schools, educational field and our City, Dr. Driver; It’ll never be in vain!
