Jackson Park Community Association Jackson Park Neighborhood- Milwaukee, WI

*S. 27th St.- S. 60th St. and Morgan Ave.- Lincoln Ave.*

http://jacksonpark.us
(414) 937-0220 The Jackson Park neighborhood is a community of quiet streets and well-kept homes wrapped around the largest park on the city’s South Side.

The setting is peaceful, almost pastoral in places, but the Jackson Park area offers more than quiet. Its character is an appealing blend of old and new. Placed squarely between the old South Side and the southwest suburbs, it shares the atmospheres of both. And its homes, bridging a gap between pre- and post-World War II development, make Jackson Park one of the most diverse architectural districts in Milwaukee.

There are too many professions out there helping us out during this challenging time to thank them all individually, but know you are all appreciated.

I wanted to give a special shout out however to all of the railroad, air freight, truck drivers and delivery drivers out there pulling extra hours and hauls in attempt to keep up with the demands of supplies. While there are steps being taken to keep people at home, these drivers will be busting their butts to keep our homes and stores supplied.

Thank you all for all the miles and hours you’re logging for all of us! You are on the frontlines too!

Both Memorial Day and Veterans Day are each recognized as holidays that honor our veterans. The difference is Memorial Day is to pay respect and honor to our veterans who have past on who served our great nation. Veterans Day is a day that pays respect to all who have served or currently serve. The big difference is Veterans Day gives us an opportunity for a moment in time to look a veteran in their eyes, reach out to shake their hand or embrace them to thank them for the sacrifices they have made for the protection of the freedoms that we have enjoyed . Sacrifices being the memories of war and loss, the fear and worry for personal safety and that if their team, long separation from families and countless other untold challenges that come with the unselfish decision to serve not only our nation but untold millions of others in foreign lands. The Jackson Park Safety Patrol would like to say thank you to all veterans who have served and for the families of veterans who have endured the challenges that come with this brave decision.
A most sincere thank you . We are all humbled by your bravery and service and it serves as a great model for all citizens to follow in the service of our fellow citizens and communities.

Lost dog!!! Shared from private message:

Dog found in road median one block west of Discount Liquor on W Oklahoma Ave at 8:55am. About 20-30lbs, young looking,
no tags, but has retractable leash and safety harness, so It would be a good guess that someone’s missing him/her.

When approached, It jumped into one of the dug out construction holes in front of El Rey, got scared, and bit a second bystander that had stopped to help get it out of the hole.

A third bystander stopped, we got it out of the hole and he and his wife took it to Wisconsin Humane Society on 38th and a Burnham (on their way now).

The dog does not appear to be aggressive, but just scared and cold from diving into the water filled hole.
