As we prepare for the midterms, I was able to take a few days with my husband to recharge for the sprint ahead. During the trip, it was especially meaningful to visit the Ronald Brown Memorial House in Dubrovnik, Croatia during my cruise and sign the remembrance book honoring our former Chair. Grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute to a remarkable public servant.

I never had the privilege of meeting Secretary Ron Brown, but I’ve heard so many stories about his leadership and impact from those who did.

30 years after his passing, his example of public service and leadership continues to resonate.

Every year I’m reminded that Pride is about community, visibility, and the power of showing up. The energy along the parade route was incredible, and so many people were excited about making their voices heard this election.
