The Milwaukee Police Department's Combat Auto Theft (C.A.T.) program is now launched. You may come into ANY City of Milwaukee Police Station, Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm to register. This program allows officers to stop vehicles displaying the C.A.T. decal between the hours of 11:00P.M. and 5:00A.M. Please see this post by the Milwaukee Police Department for more details.

is launching a Combat Auto Theft (C.A.T) program. The voluntary C.A.T. program allows officers to stop vehicles displaying the C.A.T. decal between the hours of 11:00 p.m., and 5:00 a.m. The officer making the stop needs no other reason to stop the vehicle during these hours if it has the C.A.T. decal displayed. Most vehicles are stolen during the early morning hours without the owner’s knowledge. C.A.T gives MPD the edge in recovering stolen vehicles and and assists in apprehending criminals.

You may register your vehicle at any of the Milwaukee Police District Stations (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.) or by contacting your District Community Liaison Officers. If you are registered with the CAT program and your vehicle is stolen, you must still contact the Milwaukee Police Department to report the theft. A huge goes out to Historic Highway 41 aka South 27th Street BID!
