On Thursday April 18th at the Milwaukee Public Schools regular board meeting under new business, they are taking action on the consideration to censure or remove a board member. I have been informed that the board member is Director Aisha Carr. We ALL need to show up and support her on Thursday, this can not stand. The board will likely go into executive session to address this new business. We still need to show up and demand they stop trying to silence and intimidate the one school board director that's trying to be transparent with the community.

After 16 years as Alderwoman of the 6th District, and a lifetime of service as a resident of this great city, there is a new position I am seeking, a new role I feel called to play, and a new responsibility I am prepared to bear the weight of that will allow me to lead the council, grow our community, have greater impact and work with intention with all those willing to help move our city forward. This moment is ours, NOW IS THE TIME... I am ready to be the first woman and first African-American woman to ever lead Milwaukee's Common Council. And I need your help to do it....

Please let your Alderperson know who you want to be President.
