What Optimist Clubs Do
Optimist Clubs are dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do their part through community service programs.
Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in any way they see fit. Optimist Clubs see a need in their community and react to it.
The Metro Milwaukee Optimist Club is hosting our annual Oratorical Contest on Saturday March 11th this year. The topic is "Discovering the Optimism within Me".
Calling all students looking for , we're offering a prize of $250 for the local contest, and the World contest winner will receive $22,500 in scholarships funds. Contact us for more details.
The Metro Milwaukee Club members have Football Sweepstakes Tickets again this year. A great way to support the Metro Milwaukee Optimist Club and our youth programs in Milwaukee. The Metro Milwaukee Optimist Club is starting our Fall/Winter Coffee Sale to support Youth in Milwaukee. This season we're using our funds raised to support a new book and reading program in Milwaukee. The Metro Milwaukee Optimist Club joins forces with Milwaukee Optimist Club every year at our Elf Christmas Party. Since Santa is so busy getting ready for Christmas we respond to letters written to Santa to make sure the kids know he received their list. This year we responded to over 100 letters! Thankfully we had plenty of food & refreshment thanks to Like Minds Brewing Company and BelAir Cantina.
The North Pole received your letters to Santa, and we elves had a blast writing back!
We had an amazing turn out at today's event!

This past weekend our club helped feed a delicious hot breakfast to the hungry of Milwaukee! Are you looking to give back in the community message us on Facebook as we will let you know how to get involved 🙋🏻
Today we hosted a food drive at Pick n Save. We collect 4 overflowing carts of food for the hungry families in Milwaukee!

Have you noticed a number of low objects installed Downtown lately that are hidden beneath tarps? These mysterious objects are apparently going to be unveiled soon and are meant to help Milwaukee's homeless population.
