The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission is very grateful to have gotten to be part of the planning committee for this great event. The 8th Annual Three Kings Event would have not been successful had it not been for the collaborative efforts of the Milwaukee Police Department - District Two, NLLEO Milwaukee Chapter, various local businesses, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and the families who were in attendance.

One particular 9-year-old participant said “I’m so excited about being at this event” and a parent shared that “it had been such a blessing to have been invited to the event”.

While the snow accumulates in the next few days, please help out our members by shoveling at least a 3-foot circumference around any fire hydrants near your home. Snow tends to accumulate quicker in plow zones. Your assistance allows our crews a better chance at saving lives.

Congratulations Officer Xiong on being featured.

Nyob zoo xyoo tshiab!

It is Milwaukee Hmong New Year and we are featuring members of the Hmong community who are City of Milwaukee employees.

Police Officer Lee Xiong is our , working to make our streets safer.

Xiong is part of the Milwaukee Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, a Specialized Patrol Division of MPD. He started as a Police Aide nearly 12 years ago, working at District 3, then District 4, and eventually choosing to join the TSU. The Unit engages in proactive traffic enforcement in an attempt to curb and change unlawful traffic behaviors.

“While growing up in the city, one of the most disturbing behaviors I saw was the reckless driving. It was because of experiencing this first hand, I wanted to play a part in solving this issue,” said Xiong. “Milwaukee is a great city to live in and there is so much to do, especially in the Downtown area. I want everyone who comes to visit to know that it’s safe and that Milwaukee has the best police officers doing their jobs.”

Xiong graduated from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is married with two daughters.

Milwaukee County is home to the largest Hmong population of Wisconsin. Every year, nearly 20,000 people come together and celebrate Hmong New Year at the Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center. Xiong invites everyone to attend (today and tomorrow) and ring in the New Year with food, culture, dances, and songs!

You may notice flashing green lights on some Wisconsin snowplows this winter. A new law took effect in April allowing county and municipal snowplows to use fluorescent green warning lights in addition to red or amber lights.

The green lights can create a greater contrast than other warning lights to improve visibility, especially during snowstorms. The additional green warning lights are meant to increase safety, enhance driver awareness and improve visibility of maintenance vehicles.

I have sent you and the mayor this email many times. Do you intend to reply?

I am extremely interested in the process you plan to follow to fill the vacant seats on the FPC. Here are some questions I am hoping you can answer for me.

-Are you planning to fill just the vacancy from Robakowski's departure or do you plan to fill the remaining potential vacant seats?
-Are you open to considering public nominations and/or applications by people who are interested in joining the FPC?
-Would you make a short list of who you are considering public so the community can have a say?
-What traits or experience are you looking for when selecting nominees?
-Have you considered adding younger people or general community members to the FPC who may not have experience working at that level of governance?
You guys are idiots. Get your city under control and quit punishing police officers for doing their jobs
What a disgrace! You have made it crystal clear that you do NOT have the safety and well being of the people and especially the police officers dealing with these violent offenders in mind. It should say something when departments are backing out of the DNC. You expect these radicals to do that, but shame on you. Your officers should 100% have your support!! Stop putting them in dangerous situations with no tools to protect themselves or citizens. Thank goodness people like the chief, whom you threw under the bus, have the backbone and moral character to protect their officers despite you.
Dear Brothers and Sisters here in Southeastern Wisconsin. Brother Bowman is here. This is the day the Lord has made. Well I will say that I vehemently disagree with the FPC of the City of Milwaukee. The FPC to is reckless, ignorant, biased, cruel and unfair in the people who are part of the FPC and especially in the unfair and wrongful way they are treating Chief Morales. Their decision to demote him is unjustified and is not right. They put together a plan. An unwise, diabolical, made up and shameful set of directives and they never allowed Chief Morales ample and common sense time to implement them. 11 different directives and only 7 days to complete them and produce a report about the findings? And they threatened him with discipline if he was unable to comply. 7 days? 7 days? Chief Morales like any other Police Officer or Chief has a lot of duties and responsibilities. And on top of those Police Chiefs nationwide are dealing with ongoing issues and trying to protect and serve the public. And with are all dealing with a nationwide pandemic. And all the FPC here in Milwaukee can concern themselves with is attacking and humiliating Chief Morales. The Milwaukee FPC and all it's should be ashamed of themselves. I love and support Chief Morales. Nothing against new and acting Chief but I still support Chief Morales. The Milwaukee FPC is shameful and disgraceful.

Support our Chief! Just because a radical protest group feel slighted that he won't cave to their request... he does not deserve to be fired.
I would like to express my support for Chief Morales. He is effective in trying to make changes to address citizen concerns and keeping our city safe. I am against getting rid of him.

Notice- Milwaukee residents need assistance with the inquiry and termination of Matthew Willman for the aggravated assault on two pedestrians. It is a matter that should not be taken lightly since Milwaukee has adopted a zero-tolerance policy. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
NOTICE> The Residents of the City of Milwaukee require your assistance in the investigation and firing of Officer Matthew Willman for the assault on a local resident.
