Whole Marine Concept: Shout out to II MIG’s Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter Corporal Daniel Trimner!
Cpl Trimner is an Athens, Wisconsin native who enlisted out of RS Milwaukee in 2020 and is currently serving as an electrical systems technician with II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group in Camp Lejeune, NC. “I work every day to set a high standard for myself so that I can be an example to the Marines around me,” Cpl Trimner said. As a technician, Cpl Trimner is responsible for assessing power requirements for military exercises and then coordinating suitable assets to accomplish the mission. Trimner’s prominent work ethic and dedication as a Marine enabled him to successfully plan for two Marine Expeditionary Force level and four Battalion level field operations, this quarter. Cpl Trimner credits his hard work to his dad, saying, “We were taught that nothing was going to come easy to you, everything required effort, and if you didn’t want to put in that effort, you wouldn’t reap those rewards.” Marines of Cpl Trimner’s caliber are who keep II MIG dominating the information environment. every year, Pearl Harbor survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. A further 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank two U.S. Navy battleships (the USS Arizona and the USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft.
This year, we mark 80 years since the attack. Each year, remembrance events are held at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, culminating in a commemoration ceremony on Dec. 7. These commemorations ensure that future generations understand the valor and legacy of those who perished and those who fought and sacrificed throughout World War II, while also highlighting the importance of the peace and reconciliation that exists today.

Congratulations to Lance Cpl. Amanda C. Sealock on her selection as the Naval School of Music Student of the Month for August 2021!

Sealock, a native of , , enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2021 out of love for her country, to gain the self-discipline of a Marine and to have a job as a musician with benefits.

Before joining the U.S. Marine Corps, she attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music Performance and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she obtained her Masters of Music Performance. She has been a student in our basic course for three months.

While at the Naval School of Music, she has benefited most from the percussion techniques class with MU1 David, GySgt Parks, and Sgt McManaway. The class has given her a much better grasp on how to count and play more in time.

In her free time, LCpl Sealock enjoys reading and running. In June 2021, LCpl Sealock completed a challenge to run 100 miles for PTSD awareness.
