Thank you, Secretary Godlewski, for responding to the sexist, and predictable attacks you've faced while speaking up for Election Integrity. We know that this isn't the first time that we've seen comments or opinions like the ones she's been subjected to, and sadly, they probably won't be the last.

My grandma left her hometown of Hudson to be part of the first group of women to serve in World War II. I learned from her that public service was

A week ago today, a group of our Class of 2023 were able to spend the morning shadowing some of Wisconsin's incredible legislators, and were lucky enough to meet with our Lieutenant Governor, Sara Rodriguez!

A big thank you to Representatives Andraca, Emerson, Hong, Sinicki, Ratclliff, Palmeri and Senators Johnson and Roys for hosting our class members, and to Representatives Neubauer and Drake for stopping by to chat with us! Of course, the thank yous continue, for the gracious DPW staff for their assistance and conversation, and last but certainly not least, Lieutenant Governor Rodriguez!

Shadow Day is an important day for our program members to learn directly from elected leaders about the work they do, from attending committee meetings, to working with constituents. This has been an exciting week here at Emerge Wisconsin! We had our Shadow Day, a day where our class members have the opportunity to follow a state legislator for the morning, where they get to see what elected officials do and experience once sworn into office. We will share more on our Shadow Day next week!

This year's Shadow Day was extra exciting, because Class of 2023 Member Nicole Biba found out that she was elected Vice President of Carthage College's Student Government while we were having lunch!

Nicole, we are all so proud of you, and your win, and excited that we were with you when you learned about your victory! Congratulations!
