📡 **BCAT Linked Repeater System – Sunday NET Update**

Sunday’s NET was a great success as we utilized the new **BCAT Linked Repeater System** connecting operators across the **South, Central, and North repeater locations**.

Operators were able to communicate with Net Control and hear stations throughout the network clearly, demonstrating the strength and effectiveness of our expanded communications system.

During the NET, we identified a noticeable **hum on the Central Repeater in Port St. John**. Our team investigated the issue and determined that a faulty power supply was the cause.

🔧 **The power supply was replaced today, and the repeater has been tested and confirmed operational.**

Another issue identified, another problem solved—and another step toward **strengthening, improving, and expanding BCAT’s emergency communications capabilities.**

Join the Brevard County ARES® Team (BCAT) on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at US-1 & Harrison Street in Titusville for National Night Out!

Come visit our team and take a guided tour of our Emergency Communications Trailer! Learn how Amateur Radio operators provide critical communications during hurricanes, severe weather, disasters, community events, and when traditional communications fail.

Our volunteers will be on hand to:

The Brevard County ARES® Team (BCAT) is proud to announce that our county-wide linked repeater system is now fully operational, providing seamless communication across Brevard County and neighboring areas.

This linked network strengthens our emergency communications capabilities by allowing operators throughout the county to communicate through a single interconnected system. Whether supporting public service events, severe weather operations, disaster response, or training exercises, this network enhances our ability to serve our communities when reliable communications matter most.
