Last night I made the difficult decision to resign my position as Minco City Council Member for Ward 4.

This was not a decision made lightly. I care deeply about the city of Minco and the people who call it home. However, at this time, my priorities no longer fully align with the direction of the council, and I feel it is the right choice to step aside.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and for the support, conversations, and trust so many of you have given me during my time on council.

While I may no longer be serving in this role, one thing hasn't changed, my heart for Minco. I will continue to be active, involved, and supportive of this community just as I always have.

Thank you Minco for the opportunity and for continuing to be such a special place to call home.

Shout out to Zac Davis, our county commissioner, for securing a grant to resurface “football field” road! This is a much needed repair and we are certainly appreciative of Zac for working to get this project started. We are proud to partner with the county to make this improvement Im our community.

Attended the Minco City Council meeting tonight where the council discussed the Municipal Fund Drilling Activity Grant I applied for back in September.

The grant will allow us to resurface the 2.29 miles of 10th Street which serves Minco High School, the football field and basketball gym. This project will result in improved safety and accessibility for students, families, and the community.

We truly value the opportunity to work alongside our local government partners and appreciate the collaboration that helps move projects like this forward for our communities.

If you haven’t been to Bill Johnson park to see the new playground equipment you are missing out! What a wonderful upgrade for our community! This is project that has been going on for a while and now it has come to fruition. Thanks to Brenda Pitcher for getting the grant for this project. And to Bill Braunig and his crew for making sure it came together. And thank to the members of City Council who approved this project so it could be accomplished. Make sure to take your kids and enjoy the park!

🌞🛝 Great news, everyone! 🛝🌞

We wrapped up construction ahead of schedule, and with such a beautiful day outside, it felt like the perfect time to open up the new Bill Johnson Playground.

The equipment is ready to go, so bring the kids out and let them enjoy it! We’re still taking care of a couple small things, like getting some grass started around the outside, but nothing that should get in the way of having a good time.

Come check it out, enjoy the sunshine, and help us break in this great new space for our community! 🎉

This is a project city council has been working on for about two years! A huge shout out to Bill Braunig and all those involved to make this happen! And thank you to the Minco City Council for approving this project!

WE HAVE LIGHTS! 💡🥎⚾️

New lights at the ball fields ✅

A huge thank you to all who were involved in the approval and installation of new lights at the ball fields at Bill Johnson Park. This has been a project we’ve been working toward for a while, and we’re excited to see it come together!!

These new lights will allow for safer evening practices, games, and more opportunities for our kids and community to enjoy the fields!!

A huge thank you to Brenda. Many of you may not know, she is responsible for not only getting this grant for water, but also the grant for the new park equipment at Bill Johnson park and the other grants we have received for water and sewer. She works hard and gets a lot done for our city.

A huge thank you to our City Clerk, Brenda, for the incredible work she does behind the scenes for the City of Minco.

Because of her diligence, dedication, and countless hours spent researching and writing grants, Minco has just received an $800,000 grant to help improve our water lines!!!
Grant writing is not easy work! It takes patience, persistence, and a deep commitment to the town you serve.

Brenda consistently goes above and beyond to seek out funding opportunities that allow Minco to complete important projects without placing the burden on our citizens. Her work often happens quietly behind the scenes, but the impact it has on our town is huge.

We are incredibly grateful to have someone who cares so much about Minco and works tirelessly to make it better.

Thank you, Brenda!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Well done!

Minco is VERY fortunate to have Brenda! Thank you for your commitment to the citizens of Minco!!
