City Hall was closed yesterday (Monday, September 7, 2026) for Labor Day. If your recycling is normally picked up on Mondays, it will not be picked up until next Monday (Monday, September 14, 2026).

Mondays trash will be picked up today (Tuesday, September 8, 2026), as long as it was out by 7am.

WATER MAIN BREAK UPDATE (8/31 @ 7:33pm): The water main at Minden Ave and 6th Street has not been fully repaired. The water is off on Minden Ave from 5th Street to 7th Street and will remain off overnight. Affected residents have been notified. Our crew will hopefully be finishing the repair tomorrow morning.

2;10PM UPDATE: The communication error has been resolved. Water pressure will start to come back up slowly throughout the day and overnight. We do ask for residents to ration their water usage and not run their sprinklers for a couple of days and save any dishes and laundry for later in the week. Thank you for your patience!

1:50PM UPDATE: There is currently minimal water throughout the City due to a communication error with our water plant and water tower. This post will be kept updated.

Due to a water main break we are shutting water off on Minden Ave from 5th-7th street. The city is shutting off water to this area immediately. Thank you for your patience while we work to repair this issue.

UPDATE: 8/24 @ 3:40pm--our phones and computers are back up. Thank you for your patience!

Minden city hall has an outage for phone and computer services at this time. We are working on getting back up and going. Any emergencies please contact the police station at 308-832-1150.

The intersections of 4th & Yates and 3rd & Park are now open.

Starting Friday, August 7th, the 100 block of E 4th will undergo some minor street repairs. To ease congestion during this time traffic will only flow one way. Please be on the lookout for signs and our workers.

There are street closures at the intersections below for projects due to the new school:
• 3rd & Park
• 4th & Yates

They will be closed around 2 weeks for infrastructure install and concrete curing. Residents can access the area. Just through traffic cannot go through.
