The fire department will be conducting hydrant flow tests tomorrow, July 29 and possibly July 30, in different locations throughout the city. Public works has provided us a list that shows in what order to flow the particular hydrants to minimize the sediment being sired up in the lines. There will still be some movement of sediment in the system so if you experience a brown tint to your water, it is safe to drink, however we encourage you to call City Hall and report it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we need to conduct these tests to determine that the water flow in certain locations meet the demand for the needed fire flow in these areas.
