Investing in Our First Responders Means Investing in Our Community!

I’m proud to announce that the Mineola Fire Department has been awarded $265,000 in Community Revitalization Program (CRP) grant funding to modernize first responder equipment and acquire a dedicated drone response vehicle.

Working alongside County Executive Bruce Blakeman and my colleagues in the Nassau County Legislature, we are making critical investments to ensure our first responders have the tools and technology they need to protect our communities.

Mineola Fire Department’s Drone Response Team is leading the way in emergency response innovation, providing real-time aerial intelligence that helps firefighters and other emergency personnel assess dangerous situations before arriving on scene. This funding will help expand these capabilities and bring this cutting-edge technology to more communities throughout Nassau County.

I’m grateful to the brave volunteers of the Mineola Fire Department, Mayor Paul Pereira, and the Village Board for their continued commitment to public safety and innovation.

This is what putting public safety first looks like, supporting our first responders, embracing new technology, and working together to keep Nassau County residents safe.

Proud to join with Legislator Samantha A. Goetz , Mayor Paul Ehrbar, and Deputy Mayor Kevin Rynne from the Village of Williston Park to announce a $110,000 County grant to assist the Village with the purchase of an emergency generator for Village Hall.

This important investment will help strengthen our community’s emergency preparedness, support continuity of essential services, and ensure Village Hall can better serve residents during power outages and other emergencies.

By working together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more resilient Nassau County.
