Please pay attention to the weather tonight, have a plan in place, and be sure you have a means of being notified of any warnings in your area. This weather system will affect our area over the nighttime hours while most of you are home sleeping.

First Alert! Again the tornado threat for this evening has trended higher than advertised yesterday. Why is that? Well, the cap I spoke of, or warm air aloft, is much weaker than forecast. I am getting lots of messages from folks who are suffering from storm anxiety. Folks, this is the time to plan. Have a plan in place. Where will you go if a warning is issued? Are your devices charged? The odds of you being hit by a tornado, even on a day like today, are astronomically low. So plan, don't panic. We will get trough this fine. I'll be updating throughout the evening and on air when needed.

Our mission is to protect lives and property of the citizens of Miner, by taking reasonable measures to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate, the effects of emergencies and disasters.
