Happy EMS week — and heartfelt thanks to all EMS professionals especially the members of the Mineral Point Rescue Squad. Every emergency begins with someone willing to answer the call. EMTs(emergency medical technicians) are everyday people trained to save lives, provide comfort, and respond when seconds matter most. By becoming an EMT, you can:

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐌𝐒 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

We have received a $109,375 state Emergency Medical Services Education Grant aimed at strengthening EMS training opportunities across the region and addressing critical workforce shortages in rural communities.

The state-funded grant supports Wisconsin technical colleges in advancing emergency medical responder, EMT, advanced EMT, and paramedic education while increasing institutional capacity and aligning with workforce needs.

A celebration of life for our Chief Steve Simmons, will be held on Saturday March 14th. A large procession of area agencies will began near the fairgrounds and travel past the Mineral Point Rescue Squad at 11:00 am. Please expect traffic delays during this time.
