Save the date: Saturday September 12, 2026 from 4:00pm- 8:00 pm at 214 Doty Street, Mineral Point. The Mineral Point Fire Department invites the community to a family-friendly evening of great food and friendly company. No tickets purchased required prior to the event- just come and enjoy the fun with neighbors and friends along with your local firefighters. $20 a meal come out and support you local firefighters.

In regards to the the current post on Iowa county confessions. The foam that we use is environmentally safe. The foam that we use does not contain PFAS. We have completed changed over from foam that contains PFAS awhile ago.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 MPFD Big G Open at Dodge Point Country Club yesterday. We had perfect weather and couldn't have asked for asked for a better day. We appreciate all the teams who played and everyone who took the time to stop out and support us! Thank you too all of the hole sponsors and everyone who donated silent auction and raffle prizes. Special thanks to Alex, Cory and the entire crew at Dodge Point Country Club. We hope to see you all again next year!

We're looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday the 24th for MPFD "Big G" Open. Registration starts at 9 AM. Shotgun start at 10 AM.

Even if you're not golfing, come on out to Dodge Point Country Club and bid on silent auction items or have a drink with us.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Mineral Point Rescue Squad, family, friends, and community of Mineral Point with the passing of Chief Steve Simmons. His leadership, dedication, and service will not be forgotten by the community and the lives he had touched.
