The City of Mineral Point would like to thank residents for their patience following the recent storm.

We understand there is a significant amount of storm debris and cleanup needed throughout the community. Our crews are actively assessing damage and working through cleanup efforts as quickly and safely as possible. Due to the volume of work, it will take some time to reach all affected areas.

Please know that we are committed to restoring our streets, parks, and public spaces and will get to all cleanup locations as soon as we can. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as our staff works diligently to address storm-related issues.

*Friendly reminder that brush pick-up is scheduled for Monday, June 15th. The City cannot pick up limbs that are longer than 6' in length and wider than 6" in diameter. If you have debris from the storm, please make sure to cut the branches down to size if you want the City to take it.*

🚨 A Message from the City of Mineral Point 🚨

The City of Mineral Point is proud to provide many public facilities for residents and visitors to enjoy, including park shelters, restrooms, athletic courts and fields, the public pool, and City Hall. These facilities are maintained daily by City staff to ensure they remain clean, safe, and accessible for everyone.

Unfortunately, we have recently experienced a significant increase in vandalism and misuse of City property, particularly in public restrooms. Incidents have included graffiti and writing on walls and fixtures, damage to drywall and equipment, excessive waste of supplies, and other unsanitary conditions that require extensive cleanup and repairs.

This behavior is unacceptable and places an unnecessary burden on City staff. Time and resources spent repairing damage and cleaning up prevent our staff from focusing on other important services that benefit the community.

We are asking all residents and visitors to help us protect these shared community assets by treating them with respect and reporting any vandalism or misuse that you may witness.

Our goal is to keep these facilities open and accessible to the public. However, if the damage and abuse continue, the City may be forced to limit access to certain facilities or adjust operating hours.

If you witness vandalism or suspicious activity, please contact the Mineral Point Police Department.

Thank you for helping us keep Mineral Point's public spaces clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

The City of Mineral Point would like to inform residents that representatives from the City's contracted assessment company, Equity Appraisals, will be conducting an exterior property revaluation throughout the community in the coming weeks.

Appraisers will be visiting properties to review and verify exterior property information as part of the City's assessment process. They may be taking exterior photographs and making observations from public areas and driveways. No interior inspections are planned unless a separate appointment has been arranged with the property owner.

Assessment staff will carry identification and may be driving clearly marked vehicles.

We appreciate your cooperation as this important work helps ensure property assessments remain fair and equitable throughout the community.

If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 608-987-2361.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.
