Travis Family Night was a fun adventure for all! It was an exciting family game night full of friendly competition. We love seeing our Travis families come together. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait til next year! Thanks for supporting our Travis book fair this past week as well. We would love to see your family pictures you took while you were here as well in the comments.

Students can participate in Red Ribbon Week next week by dressing up each day and wearing the red bracelet provided next Monday! Each day, students can earn a ticket to be entered into our daily drawing for a chance to win some fun prizes! We can’t wait to see everyone participate and show their commitment to making healthy, positive choices! ❤️

Mrs. Mile’s students did an IXL Challenge for a month and these hardworking kiddos ended up winning a super fun prize for mastering the most skills in ELA!

Book fair is this week and we are so excited! Students have gotten both a flyer for book fair and one for Family Night which is THIS Thursday evening (October 22nd, from 5:30-7 pm).

We will have an array of items for sale from smelly erasers and pencils to books and STEM kits! It will be a fair you won't want to miss!

A NOTE ABOUT PAYMENT:
This year our book fair will be penniless. This means if a student pays with cash, the total will be rounded to the closest 5 cents (Example: $5.58 would round to $5.60). If a student pays using credit or debit card or Scholastic eWallet, the total and change will not be rounded. A student can still pay using exact change (including pennies) but we will not be giving pennies back as change.

Our first half of 5th grade attended Bass Hall today to view the very special production of Ellis Island. It allows our students to experience beautiful orchestra music combined with a theatrical performance. Our students really enjoyed it. Thank you to Bass Hall for creating this experience for our students and hosting us at this beautiful venue.

Friday was Custodian Appreciation Day! We ❤ our custodians here at Travis. We were not here to honor them on Friday so we wanted to make sure to make them feel special today. They help keep our school running behind the scenes. Thank you for all you do!
