There has been a water main break on the North side of Second street in Mineral on the North side of town. The mayor has issued a boil order to be in place , and remain in place until further notice for the North side of town.

Hello Library Patrons! It's been a while since I have posted on the page. But I have important information about the Library that all
of our users need to know. We will be closing the Library for 2
weeks to have new carpet installed every where. We are very excited for this new project to be completed, there will be some more things being updated as well this Fall. The Library will be closing starting September 22nd and will reopen on October 6th.
When we reopen try and stop in to check out the new flooring!😀😀😀😀😀😀

The Library has some Illinois Tax forms avaliable to come in and pick up. There is a list at the Post Office on the Community board.
There are more 1040's than some of the other ones that the state
sent to us, so stop in if your in need of a Illinois tax form soon.

There is going to be a free Thanksgiving Dinner held on November 28th at the Annawan Community Center between 11:00 and 2:00 P.M.
Any one is invited to attend, If you can't get there, they will deliver
a dinner to you if you call or text 309-525-1729 by Nov. 22nd. Have a GREAT Thanksgiving and a BIG Thanks to those who are doing this
for the community!

Hello Library World!!! The Library is hosting an hour and a half Traveling office session at the Library with a representative for Win Stoller.
She will be here to try and get you anwsers to any questions that
you may have about yourself, or your community. She will be here
from 10:30 til noon on October 9th. Please try and stop in and get
your questions to Mr. Stoller . If you can't make it in you could drop a question off at the Library with your name and phone number where you can be reached. Hope to see you there!!

The Mineral-Gold Public Library District now has election papers for the Village of Mineral, and the Library. Stop in to see what open seats are coming up. Papers will be available during Library hours, they explain everything that needs to be done to run for the
available seats

We have a lost black cell phone at the Librar. It was found down by the ball park road, please pass the word around , or if you know someone who lost one, have them come to the Library to look at it??

Hello Library Patrons!! We are winding down the school year, and you know that means Summer Reading programs are right around the corner!! This year the theme is READ, RENEW, REPEAT. We will start the program on June 10th, and it will run thru July 19th. Stop in and sign-up soon! We will be handing out lots of crafty fun things to do each week! Hope to see you soon!!

The Library has Eclipse viewing glasses for the April 8th Eclipse. Stop in and pic up a pair to view it. The completed eclipse will be around 2:07 on that Monday, hopefully without cloud cover, so we can see it?! Happy Viewing!!!

If any one is looking for Illinois state tax forms and the work books your in luck! The Library has them! We have Form IL-1040--Schedule IL-E/EIC--Schedule ICR Illinois Credits--and Schedule IL-WIT. We don't have any Federal forms, but you can always print off if you are needing them? Stay healthy & Well! Hope to see you soon!

Hello Mineral-Gold Library patrons, the Library will be hosting an open house to celebrate being open 50 years!! During the week of December 12th and the 17th we will be having cookies and you can come in and put your name in for a gift baskets drawing. Stop in and look at some older pictures from years past! We are very LUCKY to have a Library in our small community, PLEASE come
