We are reposting this, as the original post has caused a lot of confusion.
There are currently two dogs still on the loose, in the area. They look very similar, but can be distinguished by their markings: one has a split stripe on its nose, while the other has a solid stripe.
If you can assist with any information regarding the owner, or have any other useful details, please contact our Dog Control Officer, Rob, at 518-251-3407. Alternatively, you can reach the Town Hall at 518-251-2869 during our business hours. Facebook is not monitored after hours or on weekends, so it is not the best method of contact.
Joel Benoit has property on North Woods Club Road and has generously offered to allow a trap for the dogs on his property. If you have a trap and can assist with this, contact him at 518-855-1964, for more information.
Original report was on 5/15/26: Dog Control Reports a skittish medium sized, black & white dog between North Woods Club Rd and the Plow turnaround on Minerva Hill. The dog could not be detained. Attempts will be continued throughout today. Call 518-251-2869 if you have any information.
