Town of Minetto The Town of Minetto was incorporated in 1916 in Oswego County, New York, and has an estimated population of 1,556.

The hamlet of Minetto, the only settlement in the Town, is located to the south of the City of Oswego, overlooking the Oswego River.

Town of Minetto: Brush & Branch Pickup Summary

To ensure your debris is collected efficiently and safely, please adhere to the following placement and size requirements.
**Placement & Preparation**
The most critical part of the process is how you stack your debris. Proper alignment allows the crew to process piles quickly.

* **Direction:** All branches must be placed in a single pile, laid in one direction.
* **Orientation:** **Place branches parallel to the road.**

* **Short Debris:** Anything shorter than 4 feet must be placed in **biodegradable bags**.
**Size & Material Constraints**
Per NYS DEC regulations, the town cannot collect oversized loads or commercial waste.

**Maximum Pile Size** | One pickup truck load (approx. 4' x 8') |
**Prohibited Items** Tree stumps, large piles,contractor debris, railroad ties, landscape timbers or other processed wood
**Bag Type** Biodegradable bags only (no plastic) |
** Important Note:** This service is for residential maintenance, not lot clearing. If you hire a professional contractor for tree removal, **they are responsible** for hauling away the debris.
**Service Schedule**
Crews rotate through town streets until all areas are covered. Busy State and County roads may experience slight delays as they require a secondary safety truck.
* **Spring:** Mondays and Wednesdays
* **Summer:** Mondays or Tuesdays (as time permits)

Brush & Branch Pickup Policy – Town of Minetto

Branch pickup in the Town of Minetto follows the schedule outlined below. Crews will begin in one area of town and continue throughout until all streets are completed.

To ensure efficient pickup, please follow these guidelines:

- Branches must be at least 4 feet in length
- Cut ends must face the roadway
- All branches should be placed in one direction in a single pile
- Branches shorter than 4 feet must be bagged.

Due to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation regulations:

- Large piles and tree stumps will not be collected
- Brush piles must not exceed the size of a pickup truck load (approximately 4' x 8')
- Only biodegradable bags may be used for lawn debris
- Contractor debris will not be accepted

This service is not intended for routine weekly trimming or clearing entire lots. If you hire a contractor for tree removal, the contractor is responsible for chipping and removing all debris.

Please note: Busier roadways—primarily State and County roads—will be serviced when staffing allows for an additional follow truck, which is required for employee safety.

Seasonal Schedule:

Spring: Pickup occurs Monday and Wednesday
Summer: Pickup occurs Monday or Tuesday, as time permits
