Reading through the comments is making me giggle so hard.
Minnesotas paid FMLA will still work the exact same as it has been, it’s just that now employees get paid.
You don’t just “GET” to request this time off. You HAVE to meet certain standards - ie pregnancy, surgery, longterm illness, etc - and submit documentation to prove it.
If you google it this is exactly what it says about eligibility: “Covers personal medical leave, bonding with a new child, caring for a family member with a serious health condition, and issues related to a family member's military service; Relationship to FMLA: The state law complements the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) by providing partial wage replacement for a similar amount of time. FMLA is a federal law that provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave.”
Some of yall need to take a chill pill. 😂😂
