A few weeks ago we had our annual Minnesota XXY reunion picnic (don't worry, I will post a pic soon!) and there were new babies there- which I was so happy to see and so happy to meet the new parents! As I scrolled through past posts, I felt the need to re-post "Welcome to Holland" for our new parents and followers. Take a read, and don't forget to enjoy the lovely things about "Holland" :-)

We just want to give a shout out to our physical therapists and thank them for all of the hard work they do for our little guy! And we want to acknowledge how hard our little man works every week in therapy. His PT's help him build up his core muscles and coordination/vestibular output. He has excelled so much in just months, and once again, we can't thank our early intervention team through the school district enough. Big hugs and smooches to our village who helps us out!

Hi fellow mama's, supporters, friends and followers! Just an FYI and reminder that on Sunday, July 27th, at 1 pm we will be holding our Annual MN XXY Reunion Picnic. It will be a great time for individuals of all ages with XXY/KS to come together. We always enjoy reconnecting with those from the past and meeting new friends. It is also a great opportunity to exchange resources and share experiences and lean in for support. We hope you can join!

May is X & Y chromosomal variation awareness month. We take this time to focus on the understanding and diversity in numbers and structures, including conditions where individuals have an abnormal number of s*x chromosomes or other chromosomal abnormalities.

The infamous “W Sit”. Does or did your little boy do this? This is quite typical in XXY boys. Why does this happen? Babies prefer this sitting position because they have weak core muscles. Weak core muscles is a common characteristic in boys with XXY. Although it may seem harmless, prolonged use can change the position of their feet and impact how they walk.
