There is one day left in this election, and the people of Ward 5 deserve a candidate who shares their experience and values, shares their hardships and pain- and wants to do something about it.

As someone who has gone through trials and tribulations with the criminal justice system, lost loved ones to gun violence, and had to struggle for everything I have, I know what it is like to lose hope, what it is like to feel alone with no support.

No longer can the residents of Ward 5 feel this way, and no longer should Ward 5 be last in educational attainment, household income, homeownership, voter turnout, and job security. We need a council member that will put ward 5 first; when elected ward 5 become first.

I've strapped on the vest, and seen firsthand the issues facing our community, as well as the viewpoint from a Northside police officer. This is something that Councilmember Ellison hasn’t and won’t do; yet he still wants to make decisions regarding public safety. I haven’t lost touch with my community members (both literally and figuratively). Here's the proof.
