It's been over six months since Miss Linda won her home with community support, stopping eviction by her Landlord and turning it around to purchase her home outright! She's been busy taking care of deferred maintenance and fixing things up with help from neighbors and is ready to host us for an open house and art show! Stop by anytime between 1 and 5 pm next Saturday afternoon to celebrate with her, buy some original art or cards made by Miss Linda, join in caroling and a holiday set with Brass Solidarity, and get to know your neighbors! Hope to see you there!

The community raised $275,000 to buy Linda Taylor’s house, where she has lived for nearly 20 years.

We did it! Our neighborhood came together to stop landlord exploitation in its tracks! Thanks to the community coming together Linda was able to sign paperwork this week to buy her home. In celebration of this wonderful achievement mark your calendars for a block party on 6/25 from 11-2! Note: In the meantime we have kept the fundraisers open to raise money for additional repairs to the house.
