On March 25, 2023, the Minneapolis City Republican Committee (MCRC) joined the five Senate Districts within Minneapolis to become the Minneapolis Republican Party. We've updated the name of this page to reflect the change.

It's time to bring back responsible government and individual freedom to the residents and business owners of Minneapolis.

PRESS RELEASE: Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus, national partners, & individual plaintiffs prevail in major Second Amendment litigation in Minnesota
Today, the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus announced that United States District Judge Katherine Menendez has issued summary judgment immediately enjoining Minnesota's prohibition on 18-20-year-old adults from obtaining a Permit to Carry in Minnesota and lawfully carrying a firearm for self-defense.
The opinion in Worth, et al v. Harrington (21-cv-1348) can be viewed on the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus website.
"Judgment is granted to Plaintiffs on the issue of whether MN Statute 624.714 violates the right of the individual Plaintiffs and the otherwise-qualified 18-20-year-old members of the MN Gun Owners Caucus, Second Amendment Foundation, and Fi****ms Policy Coalition to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution."
Judge Menendez's decision enjoins Minnesota governmental entities from enforcing the previous 21-year minimum-age requirement for a Permit to Carry.
The Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus is joined in this lawsuit by the Second Amendment Foundation, the Fi****ms Policy Coalition, and three individual plaintiffs.
"This is a resounding victory for 18-20-year-old adults who wish to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms, " stated Bryan Strawser, Chair, Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus.
"This decision should serve as a warning to anti-gun politicians in Minnesota that the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus and its allies will not hesitate to take legal actions against unconstitutional infringements on the Second Amendment rights of Minnesotans, " added Rob Doar, Senior Vice President & Political Director.

United States District Judge Katherine Menendez has ruled that 18-20-year-old adults in Minnesota have a right to bear arms in Worth v Harrington.

Thank you to the Delegates who participated in this!

Thank you to the Delegates who participated in this!

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, the five Republican Senate Districts in Minneapolis independently voted at their Conventions to become one, unified BPOU (Basic Political Organizational Unit) — the new Minneapolis Republican Party.

This was over a decade in the making, and a State Party constitutional amendment at the 2022 Convention allowed us to proceed with its formation.

Thank you to those who worked tirelessly to create the framework, and to the Delegates and Alternates who participated to make this a reality.

Congratulations to the newly elected Executive Officers:

Shawn Holster, Chair
C. Pierson, Deputy Chair
Greg Smisek, Secretary
Charlie Martin, Treasurer

We joined together to be more efficient and effective as a political party in Minneapolis. “We need to be more participatory in the community. We need to *be* the alternative, not *say* we’re the alternative,” said Chair Holster.

If we’re going to make a difference in the future of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota, NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO GET INVOLVED!

A new website is being developed. If you want to help, send an email to [email protected].

Join us.

Thank you.

When you choose to commit a felony crime, your voting rights get taken away. Why do MN Democrats want felons to have voting rights? To vote for them?

The newest DFL proposal?... FELONS VOTING even while incarcerated! How much more extreme does it get?
