This weekend, RS EDEN had the opportunity to attend the St. Paul’s Church and Neighborhood Parking Lot Gathering.

Connecting with community members, first responders, neighbors, and local organizations in such an authentic and welcoming environment was truly impactful. The conversations were thoughtful, honest, and full of shared passion for strengthening our community and supporting one another.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop, talk, share stories, and build connections with us. Events like these are such an important reminder that meaningful change happens through relationships, collaboration, and community presence. 💙

Yesterday at RS EDEN’s annual All-Agency Meeting, we were reminded that our greatest strength is our people.

We celebrated staff who have been with us 5, 10, even 20+ years. That kind of dedication speaks to the heart behind this work.
At one point, something really special happened. Staff began thanking each other, without being asked. It was genuine, unscripted, and a powerful reflection of the culture we’ve built together.

This work is not easy, but it is meaningful because of the people who show up every day with compassion, commitment, and care for one another and for those we serve.
We are incredibly grateful for our team. 💙

Today, RS EDEN was proud to stand alongside housing advocates from across Minnesota at the 'Start with Home Rally', and then continue the conversation in a meeting with Majority Leader Erin Murphy and Senator Lindsey Port.

It was an honor to be in community with so many people fighting for housing solutions that truly impact Minnesotans, from making supportive housing whole after federal cuts, to investing in homelessness prevention, to ensuring consistent and reliable funding to meet the state’s housing goals.

We are incredibly proud of these advocates and grateful for the collective work we continue to move forward together. Housing is foundational, and days like today remind us how powerful it is when we show up, speak up, and stand together. 💙

Our Ashland location in St. Paul is home to 17 units built around a communal living model, and that design truly matters. Shared space has helped create a community where people look out for one another, offer encouragement, and walk alongside each other.

At Ashland, individuals are supported by Peer Recovery Specialists and Case Managers who help connect them to basic needs like food access, mental health care, and ongoing recovery support. It’s not just about housing, it’s about stability, dignity, and belonging.

Recently, one participant shared a dream of eventually having a place of their own. With encouragement and support from RS EDEN staff, that dream became reality. They’ve since moved into their own unit, and couldn’t be happier. Stories like this are why we do the work.

For over 50 years, RS EDEN has been a trusted presence in the Twin Cities. Strong communities need organizations that believe in second chances, long-term support, and the power of human connection. RS EDEN is proud to be that partner, yesterday, today, and for generations to come. 💙

Did you know that “RS” in RS EDEN stands for Reentry Services? Today, our leadership team was fortunate to spend the day at our Men’s Reentry Program in St. Paul.

For decades, thousands of men have walked through these doors searching for a second chance, and found support. Sometimes that support looks like help finding housing, securing employment, or reuniting with children they’ve long missed. Other times, it’s quieter and deeply human: learning how to use an iPhone, creating a resume, or opening a bank account for the very first time.

Last week, a participant shared that we made him “feel human again.”

Those three words say everything. They remind us that reentry is not just about services. It’s about dignity, hope, and being seen. And they affirm why this work matters so deeply, every single day.
