💖3 small scale tips to make your neighbourhood more inclusive for those who are unhoused💖

1. Say hello! Introduce yourself to the unhoused folks in your neighborhood.

2. Read up on what resources are available in your neighborhood. Drop in centres? Safe consumption sites? Learn what is around even if you might not use them personally.

3. Offer these resources (with consent!) always take the lead of the person you’re engaging with. If they don’t want your help, don’t take offence. Community building is not about being a saviour or pushing our help on to someone. Meet people where they are at and honour their autonomy.
