It is estimated that more than 15 million children don’t have the resources they need to succeed in school and that teachers spend more than $1.6 billion a year stocking their own classrooms due to a lack of funding in schools. Supporting K-12th grade students, including public, private, and charter school classrooms, AdoptAClassroom.org makes it easy for donors to provide funding and support to c

lassrooms throughout America. Teachers register their classrooms and needs online; donors discover classrooms through simple search tools, and make targeted contributions. As an award-winning 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are able to connect donors with every classroom in the country. Since we were founded in 1998, AdoptAClassroom.org has connected thousands of donors with over 148,000 classrooms. We have raised over $28 million and estimate that we have improved the learning environment for over 2 million children. AdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit that receives operational support from corporate sponsors, individuals who generously donate to our Annual Fund, and contributions from vendors on our site.

For five consecutive years, the PPG Industries Foundation has provided STEM grants to 42 high-needs schools through AdoptAClassroom.org, supporting 14,000 students.

The PPG Foundation trusts teachers to create STEM programs that they know their students will engage with and help build career-ready skills.

This , we’re highlighting a few of the transformative, hands-on programs teachers built with the donations from the PPG Foundation:

👷🏽‍♀️A high school in North Carolina purchased a VR welding simulator as part of their Workforce Development STEM Program. The school reported that students, especially girls, stated an increased interest in welding as a career.

🧪A high school in Alabama updated its out-of-date science labs, giving students a chance to learn with hands-on materials.

🤖A middle school in Ohio purchased programmable drones and robotics, helping students put 21st-century skills into practice.
