Thank you for helping us raise over $6,000 for the campaign—every donation, mention, and share helped. We are so grateful to you. We are also grateful to organizations like Native Ways Federation for working to increase giving to Native-led organizations across Indian Country.

By giving to Native Governance Center, your generosity grows into support for our programs:
ℹ️Community Engagement: Everyone has a role in supporting sovereignty and building an Indigenized future. By sharing resources and learning opportunities, we provide accessible education to all.
💪🏽Leadership Development: The Native Nation Rebuilders is a leadership cohort with a growing network of over 200 active members and alumni making change throughout our region. We support these leaders in identifying and developing their own community action plans.
💰Tribal Finance: Works directly with Native nations to offer a cohort-based program providing finance leaders with a financial assessment, training, resources, and executive coaching to enhance their nation’s existing financial leadership and capacity.
🪶Tribal Governance Support: Engages with elected Tribal leaders, Tribal administrators, and Tribal citizens to strengthen Tribal governance systems through educational opportunities, technical assistance, capacity building, and resources.

Your support helps ensure the work we do to support Native nations and leaders continues! Learn about our programs, check out our resources and events, and more at nativegov.org

We’re more than halfway through our campaign for , and we’re about 17% of the way to our goal. We need your support as we work to cultivate a movement for Native nation empowerment. We envision this movement leading to a future where all Indigenous people can thrive on their own terms. We see abundance, restoration, community building, and centering Indigeneity as elements of this new future.

Will you help us get there? Make a donation using the link below! https://www.givenative.org/story/r274vf

Last week, Native Nation Rebuilders Cohort 15 gathered in Standing Rock for their third program module, "Health + Wealth Building"!

The week started off with a visit from the amazing women of Mní Wičhóni Health Circle. They shared their story as a change-making organization, guided participants in health-centered workshops, prepared tea, and crafted medicine bags to take home. Rebuilders were also taken on a plant walk along the Missouri River, where they learned to identify medicines.

We were honored to continue our learning from Cohort 1 Rebuilder Alumni and former Standing Rock Chairman Dave Archambault at WOZU - Planting Seeds of Change. Their terrific team shared how their organization formed in response to community need and gave us a full tour of their facilities and grounds, with a powerful visit to their growing bison herd. Rebuilders saw firsthand how one rebuilds community by healing the land they are on.

Rooted in cultural activities and Indigenous values, the week provided achievable examples of health and wealth building; through inspiration and strategic planning, participants left the week with a basis for Community Action Plan projects to take home to their communities. Follow along to see what they do next!

Pilamayaye, Miigwech, Pidamaya to the Standing Rock community for hosting us!

When you , you can support Native nations and leaders doing the work to Rebuild their communities. Native Governance Center isn't the only Native-led nonprofit seeking support this month. We want to uplift our partners out of Standing Rock, Mní Wičhóni Health Circle , and WOZU - Planting Seeds of Change.

Mní Wičhóni Health Circle provides holistic health programming for its community, including traditional foodways, intergenerational care, social support groups, and more, all grounded in Lakota cultural values. Wozu, a nonprofit started by Rebuilder alum Dave Archambault, also provides programming grounded in Lakota values. Wozu supports the community by hosting craft workshops, distributing food, tilling gardens, providing youth activities, and more.

Thank you to these two organizations for helping to rebuild their nations and allowing Cohort 15 Rebuilders to visit and be inspired by your work. We appreciate your ongoing support, partnerships, and leadership.
