Today’s Pearl of Wisdom comes courtesy of Robin and Raisa, residents at Knollwood Place Apartments!

Robin’s advice to her younger self is a powerful reminder to face life head-on: when there is something you have to do, don’t avoid it — meet it with courage, honesty, and determination.

Raisa shared a beautiful reflection on the importance of patience, reminding us that some of life’s most meaningful moments unfold in their own time.

Thank you, Robin and Raisa, for sharing your wisdom with us!

Sholom was honored to be an exhibitor at yesterday’s Minneapolis Area Senior Workers Association (MASWA) Spring Mingle!

It was an energy-filled event that truly spoke to the power of collaboration among senior care professionals. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Sholom table to share ideas, explore opportunities for partnership, and connect around our shared commitment to supporting older adults and their families.

The highlight of the day was the immensely impactful presentation by Karla Hult, an award-winning journalist and passionate advocate who founded So Many Goodbyes to help families and loved ones know they are not alone in navigating Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Through powerful data and her own deeply human story, Karla illuminated just how wide-reaching the social, economic, and personal impacts of Alzheimer’s and dementia truly are. Karla’s presentation was an inspiration to our team, and a meaningful reminder of why this work matters so deeply for the residents, families, and caregivers we are privileged to serve every day.

Thank you to the MASWA board for organizing such an energizing event. We are grateful to be part of this community of professionals working together to support older adults across the Twin Cities.

Happy Traditions & Transitions Thursday from Roitenberg Family Assisted Living!

One of our most cherished weekly traditions is our Wednesday morning Donuts & Drive. The appeal is right there in the name: sweet treats, sweet company, and the open road.

And what could make it even better? The sweetest puppy joining us for the ride, courtesy of Transportation Specialist Mark Palmer 🐶

The photo says it all: smiles, laughter, and plenty of joy to go around.

At Sholom, we believe joy is meant to be shared — and last week, the Khazanah Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble brought plenty of it for our Roitenberg Family Assisted Living residents.

This talented ensemble performed a beautiful show set to traditional and modern Arabic music, filling the room with color, rhythm, movement, and connection. Our residents loved experiencing the artistry that Khazanah so generously shared with us. Thank you, Khazanah Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble!
