The Youth Advisory Board is led by Freeport West youth and is currently in its first term. The board was founded April 2011 to give youth an opportunity for leadership among their peers, in addition to having a voice in Freeport West fundraising, program development and activity planning.

We currently have five youth serving on the board, which is led by two staff members of Freeport West. Within the board youth can participate in three committees in order to accomplish the mission of the board. Those committees are the Program Development Committee, Activity Planning Committee, and the Social Media, Outreach, Fundraising Committee.

The Youth Advisory Board has its first official monthly board meeting this Friday. Committees have been working aggressively to plan fundraising events and update the ILS curriculum and packets.
