This is the campaign to change the name of Southwest High School to Lake Harriet High School. Changing the name will bring consistency to the associated lower schools. The name Lake Harriet adds more personality as it is named after the neighborhoods most well known landmark.

Did you know that until about 1988, the Southwest High School nickname and mascot was the Indians? Southwest was one of the first schools to change from Native American images.
