Welcome to the official Hmong International Academy (HIA) page. This page is the exclusive, authorized Facebook presence of HIA and is created and maintained by HIA staff for the purpose of sharing information and connecting with the school community. What an incredible way to wrap up the school year — Vikings players up close, field activities, a book fair, face painting, snacks, and nonstop smiles all around.

Next week, May 4–May 8, we are excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, along with School Nurse Appreciation Day on May 6.

At Hmong International Academy, we are proud to honor every adult who contributes to the education of our students. This includes our teachers, interventionists, specialists, ESPs, student support staff, related services staff, Media Specialist, ReadingCorps tutors, community partners, and volunteers. We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented team supporting our students’ learning and growth each and every day.

We are also looking forward to recognizing the dedication and hard work of Nurse Melissa Marsh and our Health Assistant, Ms. Thelma. Their care and commitment play an essential role in ensuring our students remain safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

In honor of this special week, I encourage you to take time to talk with your child about the many adults who support them at school. You might also consider helping your child create a note, letter, card, or drawing to show appreciation for the staff who make a difference in their daily lives.
