Emergencies don’t wait for the “right time” — they can happen in the middle of the night, during your commute or while your kids are at school.

September is National Preparedness Month and we're happy to see Minnesota schools are prepared to save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

State lawmakers decided to require schools to have enough automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in each building to protect every child.

September is Preparedness Month and we started early in the City of Worthington, MN by installing smoke alarms alongside our community partners, Minnesota Energy Resources. They provided free weatherization kits to help residents save costs on their energy bills and we installed smoke alarms and helped families plan for disasters.

All together we made 18 homes safer, installed 36 alarms, and helped 79 total individuals make a plan.

We had a blast at the Minnesota State Fair today!

Governors Fire Prevention Day was a hit, and we had a front row seat for the pyrotechnics as the fire department demonstrated grease fire safety, as we taught children and families how to evacuate in the event of a home fire.

And on the other side of the fair, folks were rolling up their sleeves and saving lives!
